Alan Wald

Alan Wald is Professor of English Literature and in the Program in American Culture at the University of Michigan. He is a cultural historian of the United States Literary Left in the mid-20th century, and the author of eight books, including The New York Intellectuals: The Rise and Decline of the Anti-Stalinist Left From the 1930s to the 1980s, Exiles from a Future Time: The Forging of the Mid-Twentieth-Century Literary Left, and American Night: The Literary Left in the Era of the Cold War.
