Wayne Au is a Professor in the School of Educational Studies at the University of Washington Bothell, and he is an editor for the social justice teaching magazine, Rethinking Schools. He is the author of A Marxist Education:
 Learning to Change the World (Haymarket 2018), Unequal by Design: High-Stakes Testing and the Standardization of Inequality (Routledge, 2009), and Critical Curriculum Studies: Education, Consciousness, and the Politics of Knowing (Routledge, 2011).
